PUPPIES
We are expecting a litter out of Ch. Caniscaeli Just One Look,
by Ch. Shireoak Caniscaeli Windsong. Puppies should be born mid January, 2008.

It takes an extraordinary amount of time, money and planning to raise a
littler and then pup that you have decided to purchase may not be available
immediately. You may choose to wait for just the right Caniscaeli pup when the
next litter is born. If you are interested in a pup, we would need to know more
about you to ensure that both you and the pup would be well suited. We would add
your name to a list and let you know when the litter was born. At that time, if
you were still interested, we would ask you to send us a deposit to confirm your
intention to purchase a pup.
The Older Dog
Sometimes, we may have an older dog that we are looking to place in a good
home. A dog which has already passed through the puppy stages may be an
appropriate choice for many prospective dog owners. (And, yes, they DO bond with
the new family.)
Guarantee
The guarantee can not guarantee the good health of the dog for life. No one
can predict what lies in store for an animal in its lifetime. At Caniscaeli, we
have been conscientious in our breeding practices and in our attempts to
minimize the incidence of certain genetic problems by researching bloodlines and
testing for specific, known genetic defects. On request, we will supply
references of those who have purchased dogs from us.
The following is a copy of the standard
Caniscaeli contract. It does not and could not cover every conceivable
situation. It is, effectively, a contract in good faith between the parties. It
shows that we at Caniscaeli are very interested in the dog's well-being
throughout its lifetime.
The relevant tests for IR&WS's are the
following: hips/elbows, CLAD (by DNA, or by parentage), vWD (by factor in Canada
or the USA), eyes (CERF), and thyroid (complete profile).
