Champion Caniscaeli The Full Monty FDJ was Number One IR&WS for the year 2000 (CKC points system), the first year the breed was accepted for full recognition in Canada. Monty is a multi Group winner, his latest being a Group First under judge Mr. Guy Jeavons. Congratulations from all of us at Caniscaeli (and from his mum Ch. Caniscaeli Tandragee Bramble, CD, FDJ, and his dad Ch. Shannonlee Whiskey Jack, CDX, FDX, CGC) to Jake and Jonnelle Flatt for campaigning Monty to this historic achievement.

Monty has excellent potential for the field. Here he is pointing chukar.

Ch. Shannonlee White Wagtail (Jamie) hunts with owner Michael Poole, as well as doing well in the ring. Jamie is also a therapy dog. He is the sire of Ch. Caniscaeli Tandragee Bramble, CD, FDJ's first litter, and sire of McDermotts' Ch.Caniscaeli Daniel O'Connell, FD (Dan), and Spelmer and Harrison's Ch. Caniscaeli Singing In The Rain, FDJ (Ciaran), among others.

"Ch. Caniscaeli Northern Lightnjack", a son of our Liam and Festie, Jack is a multiple Best In Specialty winner, and multiple group placer. Owners Deb and Jim Crowe. Jack was Number 2 IR&WS for the year 2000.

"Ch. Shannonlee Whiskey Jack", CDX, FDX,CGC, and owner Diane Martineau (Lebry Guardsman X Shannonlee Snowy Owl). He is a son of our Tawny and sire of our Connor. Forex was BOB at the IR&WS National Specialty in 2004, with an entry of 38. This was the largest entry of IR&WS's in North America to date. Six weeks later, Forex's owner Diane sent me a photo of him with his first ruffed grouse of the season. He is a special dog, and we are very proud of him and of Diane.

"Ch. Shannonlee Whiskey Jack", CDX, FDX. Forex with owner Diane Martineau finishes the third leg to become the first FDX IR&WS in Canada.

"Ch. Caniscaeli One Fine Day FDJ (Bevy)" is Canada's youngest Champion. She is Caniscaeli Frederick Austin X Shannonlee Snowy Owl. She attained her Championship at under a year of age. Proud owners Jonnelle Flatt and Gail Harrison.

Ch. Caniscaeli One Fine Day, FDJ (Bevy) has matured at age three.

Bramble places in Group, from the classes.

Post Partum Huntress -- with her first litter nicely in their new homes, Bramble is keen to get out in the field with birds again. She attained her FDJ in 1998, between litters.

Lainie has always been staunch on point. She placed in the top 10, all pointing breeds, for her FD, which she attained in 2000.

Ch. Shannonlee Snow Dove, CD, FD has the honour of being Canada's first female Ch. for the breed. Her parents are Lebry Guardsman X our own Shannonlee Snowy Owl. She is very "biddable", like her mum, and her brother Forex.

Owner Kim Spelmer and Lainie (Rare Breeds and CKC Ch. Shannonlee Snow Dove, CD, FD) share a moment after their BIS Rare breeds win in 1998, when Lainie was just 18 months old.

Liffey (Shannonlee Snowbird) lives in beautiful southern California, and she is also a daughter of our Shannonlee Snowy Owl, by Lebry Guardsman. She is an ARBA, Mexican and International CH. Derry finishes his Championship with a Group One -- Ch. Caniscaeli Harlan Derry. In 2003, Derry added several more Group placements to his record, thus making him Number One IR&WS for points, for the year 2003.

Kevin and Cindi McDermott sent their Dan (Ch. Shannonlee White Wagtail X Ch. Caniscaeli Tandragee Bramble, CD, FDJ) up to Ontario for a few weeks in summer 2002 in order to continue field training at Ruffwood (Mike and Donna Wilshire). Dan interrupted his field training in order to attend three week-ends of conformation shows, where he quickly finished his Canadian Ch. as BOW at the Ontario ALL Pointing Breed Specialty, Aug. 2002 -- literally from the field to the show -- though Mike did tell us he hosed him down before he brought him to the show. The first photo is Ch. Caniscaeli Daniel O'Connell FD on point. The second photo is Dan shown in conformation, in the group ring.
